This could get interesting should they manage to confirm it. Einstein theorized that nothing could exceed the speed of light. Science Fiction has relied upon faster-than-light travel for a long time now. It would be nice to think that it is possible. That would open the universe wide for exploration. At sub-light speeds, a ship leaving Earth would never get to see a solar system other than our own during the original travelers’ lifetimes.
